J90 is the last born at DR from the development of its preceding J90 totally revisited in its shape. The frame is in NiCrMo Ø32mm tubes for the front crossbar, while for the rest there are 30mm tubes which are adjustable in height both front and rear. The rigidity may be varied through specific torsion bars and, lastly, thanks to the Sniper system, both the camber and the caster can be adjusted; the chassis will be equipped with new model KG508 bodywork, a KG C3 rear bodywork and a new adhesive kit.
It will be possible to choose between the VEN11 DD brake system for Direct Drive categories and the VEN11 KZ for the Shifter/KZ categories and the innovative VEN13 KZ for the Shifter/KZ categories; the most outstanding innovation regards the pump which foresees an innovative system capable of modulating the brake efficiency denominated ABA (adaptive brake assistant). Through a regulator it will be possible to adjust the pump so that an internal system manages the braking force in order to avoid blockage of the tires. This mechanism allows braking at the limit without reaching the blocking of the tires, so as to avoid bouncing of the rear axis and the loss of adherence of the correct line of entrance to a curve. A feature to notice is how this function may be adjusted in accordance to the needs of the category (different powers) and to the tires used (different grip), but at the same time allowing the feeling desired by the individual driver. The “range” of the regulation may vary from neutral, therefore with no adjustment, up to managing the blockage by applying the maximum pressure on the brakes.
Furthermore, thanks to specific axis flanges, it will be possible to variate the wheel base.
